What your template needs

• A Notion database with one row per day. The row carries the date, the checkboxes sit on it as properties.
• At least one checkbox property per habit you want to track. Name them however you like.
• That is all. Page titles, extra properties and views stay as they are.

How it plugs in

1. Connect through Notion. Notion Habit Heroes is listed in Notion's integration gallery. You authorize it in Notion, then pick the database that holds your daily rows.
2. It reads your checkboxes each night. The nightly sync uses the official Notion API in your own timezone and computes streaks, perfect days and points from what it finds.
3. Paste the widget where you work. The widget embeds in any Notion page, inside your template or next to it, so the numbers show up in the workspace you already open.

What stays yours

• Your template and its layout stay as they are. On its own, the integration only creates the row for today when it is missing. A new checkbox property appears only when you add a habit through the widget.
• You can disconnect at any time from your profile.
• What is stored, for how long, plus how to have it deleted: the privacy page has the details.

For template creators

Build habit tracker templates? Yours can be listed on this page. A listing is a card with the template name, your name, one sentence on who it is for, plus a link to your template.

• The page link you share carries your name as the traffic source: notionhabitheroes.com/works-with?utm_source=your-name. Signups that arrive through it are attributed to you.
• The product is free for individuals, so there is nothing for your audience to buy before they can use it.
• A listing can be taken down again on request. Write to the same address.

Questions

Does this change my template?

Not on its own. It reads the checkbox properties on your daily rows and creates the row for today when it is missing. New properties appear only when you add a habit through the widget, so nothing changes unless you ask for it.

Does it work with a template I bought?

Yes. Any database with the shape above works. Duplicated from a creator, bought in a shop or built by hand makes no difference.

Do I have to use the widget?

No. The widget is optional. Streaks, points and competitions work from the dashboard on this site as well.

What if my habits are in one row per habit instead of one row per day?

Then the integration cannot read it yet. The free Notion template shows the supported shape, one row per day with a checkbox per habit.
