Notion Habit Heroes is now completely free for individuals. Everything that used to sit behind the €3.99/mo Pro tier, competitions, duels, insights, plus the core tracking, streaks, points and widgets, is included for everyone. No trial, no card, no tier to unlock. You connect your Notion workspace and you have the whole product.

Why I'm doing this

A €3.99 consumer subscription never made much sense for a solo passion project. I built this app because I wanted a habit tracker that lived inside Notion instead of yet another separate app. But the parts people loved most, competing with friends, dueling a rival, watching a shared leaderboard move, were exactly the parts I'd locked behind a paywall. That's backwards for a product that gets better the more people show up on the leaderboard. Every friend who skipped the subscription was one less name on someone else's leaderboard, which made the product worse for the person who did pay. A habit tracker with a small, gated social layer is just a worse habit tracker.

So I removed the individual tier entirely. The business now runs on two plans built for a different kind of user: teams and coaches who need a management layer on top of tracking, not the tracking itself. Teams start at €4 per seat per month; coach plans start at €29 per month. What you're paying for there is a roster view across a whole group, a company-wide leaderboard, alerts when someone goes quiet, the kind of oversight a manager or a coach actually needs and an individual never did. If you're tracking your own habits, maybe racing a few friends, none of that applies to you. None of it sits behind a paywall anymore. It never will again.

If you were paying for Pro

If you were one of the handful of people paying for Pro, your subscription is canceled and you're getting a full refund, no matter when you signed up or how long you'd been paying. I'm reaching out to each of you personally to say thanks. You funded this app before there was a business model that made sense. That mattered. I won't forget it even though the tier itself is gone.

What stays the same

Your daily habit data starts in your own Notion workspace. That's still the source of truth: Notion is where you check things off; Notion is what the app reads. To run scoring, streaks and leaderboards, I do store the tracking data built from that, your habit names, completion status, journal entries, streaks and points, in a database I own, on the free plan or a paid roster alike. That part isn't new and it isn't changing along with the pricing: it's exactly what the privacy policy has always said. It's deleted the moment you delete your account. The free template is still free, still yours to duplicate and use with or without ever connecting an account.

Where to go from here

If you're managing a group and want the roster view, the shared leaderboard, the silence alerts, take a look at teams or coaches. If you just want to track your own habits inside Notion, grab the free template and go. Either way, thank you for being here this early. The leaderboard gets more fun with every name on it.
